After JRC successfully completed the LED carpark lighting upgrade at Castle Towers in Sydney in 2019 we were selected as the preferred tenderer on the Canberra Centre site for their upgrade. Castle Towers is one of Sydney busiest shopping centres and there we were required to replace over 6000 lights in the carparks and back of house, Canberra Centre was smaller package but still over 3800 lights. We were engaged due to our history of being able to manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic and work safely in highly vibrant areas with plenty of movement. The logistics of this work are the difficult parts to manage because the KPI’s for the project are below;
100% recycling of all materials used or removed from the Centre
Datalog circuits to take before and after power usage data to prove power savings
Lux level tests before and after to ensure compliance with Australian Standards
Update old records to show new assets for centre
100% compliance with all QIC work health safety requirements
Dealing with QIC property manager Glenn Russell JRC achieved all of the KPI’s and handed over the newly lit carparks 2 months earlier than expected through covid 19.
